A Bodhtitrix Play Session

Bodhitrix presents the Acro App and its first complete series the L Basing Acro collection.

Bringing together partner balances from AcroYoga and L basing acrobatics we will present the creative potential that can be created with a random throw of acro dice.

We will introduce you to Playing Dice, which gives you suggestions on how to put together sequences using the balances images presented.

This will be an afternoon to challenge your L basing transitions skills. This workshop is geared for practitioners with a competent level of experience in basing or flying sequences including washing machines.

Be prepared to work collectively, to collaborate in co-creation and above all delve into your playing potential.

Two’s Company: the art of counter-balances
Counter-balances are when weight is used as a lever to reduce the effort of lifting loads, thereby enabling the balance of another weight. We will look at how this can be applied to individuals working together as a pair and what potential balances can be created. We will up look into the push-pull nuances of balance; the engagement and release that allows stability in both symmetrical and asymmetric structures and how to safely build interesting shapes and poses.
We will work progressively beginning with an asana practice for individual body awareness; thereafter, explore the sensitivity required in working as a pair. No partner necessary, we will get to mix and match with everyone in the room.Explore the wonders of human counter-balances, delve into your creative potential. If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far go together (African Proverb).

inversions

Exploring Arm Balances & Inversions

Challenge your yoga asana practice and explore the world of balancing on your hands. We will give you the opportunity to explore the mechanics of both inversions and arm balances.

This workshop is ideal for those with regular yoga asana practice and or form of body awareness tradition; and who are keen to discover their hands and arm balancing potential. Students will learn the alignment techniques, strength elements, the embodiment of inversions and taking weight on the arms and hands. We will build it up progressively working on upper body stamina, core conditioning and wrist awareness.

The session will begin with an asana practice and will progress to working in pairs or in small groups to explore the variety and range of inversions and thereafter delve into the abundant diversity of arm balance poses.

It’s time to chance to challenge yourself and get creative in your asana practice, what better way to do this than by balancing or your arms and hands?
