A three hour offering to mark Valentine’s Day, with an exploration into connection and collaboration.  We will share and relate through the practices of partner yoga – yummy assisted stretches; flying therapeutics – the giving and receiving of trust & Thai massage – an art to healing touch.  No yoga experience or massage experience is necessary just a willingness to be tactile in a non intimidating way.

This workshop welcomes not only for couples, but friends, siblings and relatives as well as individuals interested in sharing.

AcroYoga weekend @ Molde Yoga

A long weekend dip into the immense practice that is AcroYoga

When: Friday 5th t0 Sunday 7th December 2014

  • Friday 6-9pm AcroYoga Fundamentals
  • Saturday 10am – 1pm & 2.30pm – 5.30pm Lunar Day – Massage & Therapeutics
  • Sunday 10am – 1pm & 2.30pm – 5.30pm Solar Day – Inversions & Acrobatics

Where:  Molde Yoga Centre, Parveien 19, 6413 Molde Norway.

Costs:  The following are the price options. You can choose to come to the Friday, a single day over the weekend (Saturday or Sunday), or the weekend (just Saturday and Sunday) or the whole event (Friday-Sunday).

If you book and pay before 1st November you will be eligible for the early bird price which is cheaper.

A 15 hour exploration into AcroYoga.  The weekend will be broken down into a day of acrobatics and a day of therapeutics, which will act as a rounded tip of the iceberg introduction into the practice.  In participating the whole weekend, you will get a greater understanding of what is AcroYoga.  However, for those of you who are only interested in certain elements of this practice there are day attendance options.

Participants must have a willingness to work in pairs or in groups of three or more, have a regular physical body practice of some kind and a willingness to be upside down.

AcroYoga weekend @ Studio One Yoga Wigan

When: Saturday 15th November 1-8pm & Sunday 16th November 10 – 5pm

Where:  Studio One Yoga, Number One, The High Street, Standish WN6 0HA

Costs: Early bird day rate £45 or weekend rate £75 if booked before the 8th November or £55 day rate or £90 weekend rate there after.

An AcroYoga debut @ Casina Settarte in Italy

Dates:  Saturday 21st – Wednesday 25th June 2014

Location:  Casina Settarte, Itria Valley, Apulia, Southern Italy

A first for Casina Settarte, we have the pleasure of the offering to you an AcroYoga Debut.

AcroYoga brings together the ancient disciplines of yoga, healing arts and acrobatics into the one umbrella practice. We are offering you a five day debut into this wide ranging and abundantly creative practice.

We will explore the themes of trust, connection & playfulness through: –

  • partner stretching,
  • assisted inversions,
  • basic partner acrobatics,
  • therapeutic flying, and
  • the principles of Thai massage.

This five day debut is aimed as an immersed introduction into the practice of AcroYoga.

No experience or no partner necessary, you will be supported! Do come with an open mind & a willingness to have fun!

The days will be broken down into two parts

AcroYoga fundamentals / technique / conditioning / balancing – morning practice

Tap into your source of strength, flexibility and creative will. We will explore the qualities of acrobatics beginning with conditioning & strength exercises working on the embodiment of inversions, headstands, forearm balances and handstands. We will work progressively in small groups on static balances to sequences; involving a base, flyer and spotter with some focus on transitions. We require you have willingness to explore your fearless inner child.

AcroYoga therapeutics / healing touch / therapeutic flying from afternoon / evening practice

This aims to be a bodywork extravaganza. We will introduce you to the art of healing touch and work with ‘Metta’ loving kindness a real treat for our often tired and over worked bodies. We will practice the principles of mutual support, giving and receiving and introduce you to a blend of Thai massage sequences and therapeutic flying flows blended with massage. Come with an open heart!

Participant recommendations
We recommend all participants have some regular form of yoga asana or physical body practice, are comfortable with inversions (assisted headstands or handstands against a wall) and are prepared to work with a partner or in small groups.

AcroYoga Therapeutics @ Yotopia

AcroYoga – an intro to therapeutics @ Yotopia

AcroYoga focuses on mutual support, giving and receiving, honoring and accepting. Discover your potential to tap in and out as well as be, to give and receive as well as to trust and connect.

In this workshop you will discover the principles of healing hands through a lead Thai massage sequence; explore the art of therapeutic flying a practice that explores the combination of rooted, grounding energy and fluid receptivity. The base embodies the earth element and creates a solid foundation for the flyer to experience inverted aerial flows blended with therapeutic massage techniques. The relationship deepens as partners exchange roles as flyer and base, increasing their capacity for trust and communication.

Be prepared to work on pairs or in small groups.
