Same Size Flows Workshop @ London Bridge

Where: Tokei / Hidden Gym Lion Court, 28 Magdalen Street, London SE1 2EN

(The above images were taken from the European Acrobatics Festival in October 2021)

This workshop is a collaboration with Bhee Lumbania and Jaqui Wan.  Drawn from our workshop offerings at the recent European Acrobatics Festival this past October 2021.

We present a series of L basing flows that will aim to playfully challenge same size duos.  There will not be any whips or pops but there will be a series of transitions that will require footwork and body precision, as well as negotiating the giving and receiving of weight to allow for cohesive collaboration.

Our aim is to encourage exuberant connections, explore your acrobatic partnerships and potential and experience the joy of attempting to base and fly everything.

Requirements: –

  • Being able to base and fly star and reverse star;
  • Have a familiarity with at least three washing machines and or a flying sequence with at least ten transitional moves; and
  • A willingness to base and fly all our sequences.

You can come on your own or come as an acro duo.

Safety Protocol

Every participant is required to conduct a lateral flow test and present a -ve test result within 24 hours of attending this workshop.

As we transition into the winter months, Covid is still with us and we feel this is one way to help keep you and others safe.

Failure to conduct a Covid test of any kind will mean you will not be able to participate in this workshop.

We will be encouraging group mixing and contact.  You are welcome to participate with your mask on or off and we will be encouraging judicious use of hand sanitiser and maybe being a hand towel in case you get hot and sweaty.

Cancellation Policy

There is no certainty or clarity as to how Covid will impact us as we enter into the winter months.  For this reason, we may need to cancel the workshop due to Government guidance on social distancing. We will endeavour to inform you of any changes as soon as we are able to, this could be via a newsletter or on our social media platforms Facebook or Instagram.  Under these circumstances, full refunds will be given.

Otherwise, you are advised to give at least 48 hours notice via email to hello@jaquiwan.com should you wish to cancel and claim your full refund. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in a £10 admin fee deducted from your refund for each workshop and or each person.

There are exceptions to this if you have been told to isolate and or have had a recent positive covid test result.  A full refund will be issued upon submission of evidence to confirm your circumstance.
