Set your intentions for 2015, with a Sunday afternoon introduction into the power of three.  Learn the dynamics of working together.

Delve into the world of giving and receiving trust. Learn how be clear and ask for what you want. Be prepared to be challenged, maybe move out of your comfort zone. Learn how to spot with precision and thereby support the group as you learn together.

Learn to build a three person static balance often referred to as trio pyramids or tricks. There could be two flyers and one base or vice versa. For this session you will be working in groups of at least five, with two spotters supporting each trick. You will learn how to build progressively and be supported in the process.

We will begin with a warm up and some inversion practice. Suitable for people who have a regular physical practice, not necessarily yoga. They must have a willingness to work with each other. They must be comfortable with being upside, and be able to do a headstand against a wall for 30 seconds.

The material covered drawn from European Acrobatics, specifically where there has been a long standing tradition of this practice particularly in Germany and Holland where it is practiced as a non professional sport and activity.

A great opportunity to learn, share and play with two phenomenal acrobats. Their joy in the practice is infectious and you will be exposed to different tricks and transitions you thought not possible. A chance to delve deep into you acrobatic potential.

Solar Session @ The Light Centre Belgravia

Discovering your acrobatic potential

When: 11th October 2014, 2.30 – 5.30pm

A three hour offering to tap is into the Solar practice of AcroYoga.

Focussing on partner acrobatics and inversions this workshop will work progressively, getting you strong in your physical body and building on your mental well being allowing you to try things that may seem impossible and making them possible.

We will working on strong foundations, precise body actions as well as boundaries to create human shapes and transitions that involve bases, flyers and spotters.  We will also have the opportunity to train with the Bodhitrix – Players Deck (www.bodhitrix.net).

Participants are asked to have a regular bodywork practice, a willingness to work with others and have an openness to be challenged to achieve their fullest potential.

AcroYoga weekend @ Studio One Yoga Wigan

A weekend dip into the immense practice that is AcroYoga

When: Saturday 15th November 1-8pm & Sunday 16th November 10 – 5pm

Where:  Studio One Yoga, Number One, The High Street, Standish WN6 0HA

Costs: Early bird day rate £45 or weekend rate £75 if booked before the 8th November or £55 day rate or £90 weekend rate there after.

A 12 hour exploration into AcroYoga.  The weekend will be broken down into a day of acrobatics and a day of therapeutics, which will act as a rounded tip of the iceberg introduction into the practice.  In participating the whole weekend, you will get a greater understanding of what is AcroYoga.  However, for those of you who are only interested in certain elements of this practice there are day attendance options.

Participants must have a willingness to work in pairs or in groups of three or more, have a regular physical body practice of some kind and a willingness to be upside down.

AcroYoga day @ Stonemonkey Yoga

A day to delve in to the solar practice of AcroYoga.  We will spend the tapping into your acrobatic bodies, working in groups of three or mor on static balances and L basing transitions and sequences.

Be prepared to be challenged and explore your fearless potential all within the environment of support and childlike play.
